The cross country, indoor track and outdoor track and field programs at the Community College of Rhode Island will be hosting a series of Monday night age-group track meets on the Flanagan Campus in Lincoln. Meets will be held on the following dates: Dec. 7, 14 and 21; Jan. 4, 11 and 25; Feb. 1, 8 and 22; March 1, 8 and 22. Registration will begin at 6 p.m. Events, which will start at 6:30, will include in the 9-10-year-old division: 300-meter run, 600-meter run and 1,000-meter run; 11-12-year-old division: 300-meter run, 600-meter run, 1,000-meter run and 1,500-meter run; and 13-14-year-old division: 300-meter run, 600-meter run, 1,000-meter run and 1,500-meter run. Ribbons will be awarded to the top 10 finishers in each event in each age group. The cost to register is $5 per night or $25 for all dates, which also includes a T-shirt. All proceeds will benefit CCRI's cross country and track programs. The CCRI Indoor Track facility is an 11-lap per mile, multiple-use track surface (no spikes allowed). Restrooms are available.
