7th annual Will Speck Youth Cross Country Invitational set for Oct. 3

Tom Aman sends along the following details about this year's youth meet that will be held in memory of Will Speck, founder of the CLCF cross country program in 2000 and director of the CLCF track program from 1992 until his death in 2003:

The Cranston League for Cranston's Future (CLCF) Cross Country Program will host the 7th annual Will Speck Youth Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, October 3rd at Cranston High School West located at 80 Metropolitan Avenue in Cranston. There will be races for boys and girls in two different age groups based on the participant's age on the day of the race (under age 11, ages 12 to 14). Races are run on a 1.4 mile open grass terrain loop. There is a course walk-through at 3:30 p.m. and the races start at 4:00 p.m. There is no fee.
