From Eident Sports Marketing, information about pre-race festivities planned for the upcoming Ironman: Join the fun as the inaugural Amica Ironman 70.3 Rhode Island kicks off with a welcome dinner at the picturesque Waterplace Restaurant (http://www.waterplaceri.com/special_events.htm) in downtown Providence on Friday, July 11, 6-8 p.m. Learn the intricacies of the Rhode Island course, hear from experienced Ironman participants, take part in a Q&A led by Ironman officials and meet other Amica Ironman 70.3 Rhode Island participants. Bring your family and friends and enjoy a complimentary jazz performance on the Waterplace deck overlooking the Providence River.
