More news on the upcoming Cox Providence Rhode Races, from Cox Communications and Eident Sports Marketing: There’s Still Time to Register for the Cox Providence Rhode Races There’s still time to register for the first Cox Providence Rhode Races on Sunday, May 4. This inaugural event features the Cox Sports Marathon, Willow Tree Half-Marathon and the New Balance 5k. All three races begin simultaneously at 9 a.m. Entry forms for the Cox Providence Races are available online at www.coxrhoderaces.com. Legendary runners Bill Rodgers and Geoff Smith, who combined have won six Boston Marathons, will be the keynote speakers at the pasta dinner on Saturday, May 3 at Johnson & Wales’ Snowden Hall, 32 Page St., Providence. The dinner is a prelude to the Cox Providence Rhode Races. Tickets for the pasta dinner are $15 and can be purchased at www.coxrhoderaces.com. Cox Communications is the Title sponsor of the Cox Providence Rhode Race. Johnson & Wales University is the Presenting sponsor. Charitable partners include Cox Charities New England, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Team in Training, National Kidney Foundation, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and the Brendan Doyle Foundation.
