Coming up 33 seconds shy of beating his own course record, Robert Cheruiyot captured his third straight and his fourth overall Boston Marathon, easily winning in 2:07:46. The Kenyan becomes one of only four runners to achieve the feat, joining Clarence DeMar (who won Boston seven times), Bill Rodgers and Gerard Cote.
