Former Providence College star Roisin McGettigan placed second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the IAAF / VTB Bank World Athletics Final, held last weekend in Stuttgart, Germany, and took home $20,000 for her efforts. ``This is by far the biggest pay day of her career and her top finish in a race of this caliber,'' reports Myles Dumas. ``She is currently ranked 5th in the world in the IAAF point standings and finished 10th at the World Championships in Osaka a few weeks ago.''
